Riverwalk Tour in American Sign Language
Sunday, September 10, 2017 3:30 p.m.

Mud Island River Park and Deaf Connect of the Mid-South is teaming up to offer monthly, guided Riverwalk tours in American Sign Language  of our 5 block long, flowing model of the Mississippi River. Come learn the history, geology and tales of the Mighty Mississippi River from Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico. This informative tour last about 1 hour where you have the opportunity to learn about the Mississippi  River along its banks.!!  You will learn about floods, earthquakes, river engineering, history and much more!  Join us for this fun, outdoor tour and explore the river 2, 348 miles in just 5 blocks!

Deaf Connect - Deaf Family Reunion
Come and join us Saturday, September 23rd from 10 am - 4 pm at Mud Island River Park. You are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, bicycles, bathing suits (to frolic in the fountains + the Great Mississippi River Model), game balls, etc. We just want you to explore one of our city’s greatest parks and be a part of the Deaf Family Reunion!

Wine on the River 2017 - SOLD OUT
Come join us on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm as we travel through different regions spanning the globe at the beautiful Mud Island River Walk in Downtown Memphis. Sample wine from National and International vineyards. There is an “Around the World” theme focusing on cultural regions with wine and food in each selected area. Live music entertainment and lots of fun to benefit Youth Villages.

Halloween on the Island

Mud Island River Park will be transformed into a Halloween town of fun  
on Halloween night. Ghouls and goblins will descend on Mud Island River Park 
to enjoy activities such as the Haunted River Walk with trick-or-treat stops 
along the way,hay rides, train rides, games, costume contests, 
and still more fun for the entire family. Family fun oriented not too scary!!! 

Halloween on the Island offers a fun and safe way to 
celebrate Halloween with the family.
 

Halloween on the Island will take place October 31st (rain or shine)
